Meals on Wheels, Salisbury, US

At Ronald McDonald House in Pencader, Delaware, US, Innospec volunteers supported families with children undergoing hospital treatment by cooking and serving a hot evening meal, helping provide comfort during an incredibly challenging time.

As part of the charity’s Spoonful of Hope programme, colleagues helped prepare and serve 86 meals for families staying at the House, easing the daily burden of finding meals so parents and carers could focus solely on their child’s care.
A representative from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware shared their thanks:
ā€œThank you for providing a Spoonful of Hope to the families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Your team from Innospec helped serve 86 meals to families who call our House their ā€˜home‑away‑from‑home’. By providing a meal, you helped ease a burden during their child’s medical treatment, allowing families to focus entirely on their child’s care. Thank you for making this impact.ā€

Food Bank of Delaware, US

Employees from our Pencader, DE, US, site volunteered to pack food parcels at the Food Bank of Delaware, helping to ensure nourishing food is available for all members of the community.

Reffetorio Gastromotiva, Brazil

In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Innospec employees volunteered at Refettorio Gastromotiva, preparing meals for vulnerable members of the local community. Through care, teamwork and culinary creativity, the initiative helps address food insecurity while offering dignity and connection to those supported.

Taking part through Innospec Cares, colleagues worked alongside the Refettorio team to transform surplus food into nourishing meals, supporting an organization committed to tackling hunger, reducing food waste and promoting social reintegration. Reflecting on the experience, Patricia Albuquerque, Marketing Specialist, shared:
ā€œBeing there was much more than donating our time – it was an opportunity to truly experience solidarity and see first-hand the difference collective action can make. Stepping away from our corporate routine and immersing ourselves in such a human context made us reflect on our values and our responsibility to be closer to the community. Refettorio Gastromotiva showed us that every act of solidarity has the power to transform – both those who receive it and those who give.ā€

Helping Hands Ministry, US

In High Point, North Carolina, a team of Innospec volunteers supported Helping Hands Ministry by working together to sort and package food donations, helping ensure essential supplies reached individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Through hands‑on teamwork, colleagues helped prepare food boxes destined for children, families, and neighbors in need, providing not only nourishment, but reassurance and care during difficult times. Reflecting on the experience, one employee shared:
ā€œThis experience reminds me to be grateful for what I have and for the company I work for. Innospec is special because of the compassion and outreach we provide to our communities. Knowing that my donation can ease someone’s burden, even just a little, makes me feel connected. Pleasanton Elementary School, US

An incredible 45 employees based at our Pleasanton, US site were involved in a volunteering activity to collect school supplies to donate to Pleasanton Elementary School. This helped to ensure that all children have access to the necessary materials to allow them to flourish at school, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.Ā Ā 

ā€˜The efforts not only supported teachers and students in need, ensuring they are equipped for success, but have also strengthened our connection with the community, fostering a sense of unity. Children are the future and helping out local schools can make a positive impact on our future society. Hospice of the Good Shepherd and Wirral Hospice St Johns, UK

Colleagues at our Ellesmere Port site in the UK supported two local hospices by taking part in a Christmas tree collection and recycling initiative, helping to raise vital funds for compassionate end‑of‑life care within the community.

By collecting and recycling Christmas trees after the festive period, the team helped generate important donations for local hospice services, while also promoting reuse and responsible waste management.

ā€œThank you for your amazing support with the Christmas Tree collection. You have once again made a massive difference – this campaign simply would not be possible without the support of people like you. We have raised a considerable amount towards the vital funds needed to run our wonderful hospice.ā€

Ambulantes Kinder, Germany

Colleagues at our Leuna site in Germany volunteered their time to support Ambulantes Kinder, a local children’s hospice, by assisting with site maintenance activities.

Through practical, hands‑on support, the team helped create a safer, more welcoming environment for young patients and their families during an incredibly challenging time.

Red Cross, France

Employees based at our St Mihiel site in France volunteered their time to support the Red Cross by collecting essential supplies at a local supermarket, helping to ensure vital aid reached people in need within the community.

The initiative provided colleagues with an opportunity to contribute directly to a meaningful cause while engaging with members of the public.

Red Cross, Italy

In the lead‑up to the Christmas holidays, colleagues at our Castiglione site in Italy volunteered their time to support families facing hardship by helping distribute Christmas gifts in partnership with the Red Cross.

The initiative brought colleagues together to support their local community and share moments of joy during a time of year that can be especially challenging for some families. Reflecting on the experience, one employee shared:
ā€œOur annual volunteering day with the Red Cross before the Christmas holidays has truly become a tradition I look forward to with excitement. It’s such a great feeling to step out of the usual work routine and join colleagues in doing something that really matters – helping those who need it most. Maggie’s, UK

Volunteers from our Ellesmere Port site in the UK supported site maintenance at a local cancer hospice, helping to create a safer, more welcoming outdoor space for patients and their loved ones.

The team worked in challenging weather conditions to tidy garden areas, improve pathways and plant new roses, helping ensure the space can be enjoyed by visitors and activity groups alike. Their efforts were warmly received by the hospice team, who shared their appreciation:
ā€œA big thank you for all your hard work in Maggie’s garden. It looks so much tidier, and the paths are safer, which means our Tai Chi group and visitors can really enjoy the space. We’re excited to see the roses you planted bloom next year – they’ll be such a lovely addition. We really appreciate you battling the rain, wind and cold to get everything done. Its Raining Raincoats, Singapore

Its Raining Raincoats is a charity committed to supporting migrant workers in Singapore by providing them with essential supplies and services. Seven Innospec employees volunteered to help out at one of their shops that provide these necessities free of charge.Ā Ā 

ā€˜We wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to you and your team for volunteering at our Inspire store. The team helped ensure that the store was ready to serve our 80 migrant worker beneficiaries visiting for free shopping over the weekend.’ Its Raining Raincoats, charity

Salvation Army, Singapore

In Singapore, Innospec employees volunteered with Willing Hearts, a local organization dedicated to supporting families facing food insecurity across the region.

Working side by side, the team helped sort, prepare, and pack food donations, portioning rice, cutting vegetables, and packing cooked meals. Together, the group helped prepare approximately 260 meals in a single day, contributing to the daily operations of a kitchen that relies heavily on volunteers to continue serving those in need.
Reflecting on the experience, one volunteer shared:
ā€œIt was a great team effort with my colleagues to help prepare meals for the needy. It was a shocking realization that there are so many people in Singapore who cannot afford a meal. It was a very humbling experience for us all.ā€

Food From the Heart, Singapore

A team of nine employees from Singapore, volunteered to support the work of Food From the Heart, an organization who strive to alleviate hunger through the provision of food packages, in addition to ditributing toys to children from families in need. Our employees worked in the warehouse sorting donated food items and packing goods for distribution.Ā
