Community Support Programs

Our businesses and sites around the world are committed to providing support, sponsorships, fundraising efforts and outreach opportunities to their local communities and causes close to their hearts.

PenFed Foundation’s Military Heroes Program

Our Fuel Specialties and Oilfield Services businesses are long-standing supporters of the PenFed Foundation’s Military Heroes Program in the US, who provide essential support to wounded and ill veterans, service members and their families, helping them to adapt to life back home.

In 2022, our annual Fuel Specialties and Oilfield Services golf tournaments raised US$315,00 for the PenFed Foundation, bringing the total raised since we started the annual golf tournaments in 2007 to over US$1.8 million.

Fuel Specialities business donates to Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald e.V

For every litre of ecotherm® futur sold, our Fuel Specialties business donates to Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald e.V (SDW), the German Association for the Protection of Forests and Woodlands. Donations based on 2022 sales brings the total raised since the partnership began in 2008 to over €369,000. SDW use these funds to support forest conservation, protection, replanting projects and free forest education and information programs for schools and communities.

Social sourcing

Innospec utilises organizations who create employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of our local communities.

  • Our site in Vernon has supported a local workwear laundry company called Blanchisserie A.P.E.E.R, who create employment opportunities for local people with disabilities, since 2017.
  • Our Herne site have used an organization called WeWoLe, who employ handicapped individuals for maintenance and laundry, since 1999.
  • In Castiglione the local organization Saint Lucia Social Cooperative provide employment opportunities to disabled and disadvantaged people in the form of cleaning our site offices.

Community open days

Open days are important opportunities to build relationships with our neighbours and interested groups to create a greater understanding of what we do at Innospec.

In 2022, we were pleased to hold open days at our Leuna, Germany facility with approximately 60 local people participating in a tour of the plant.
