Community Support Programs

Our businesses and sites around the world are committed to providing support, sponsorships, fundraising efforts and outreach opportunities to their local communities and causes close to their hearts.

Social sourcing

Innospec utilises organizations who create employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of our local communities.

  • Our site in Vernon has supported a local workwear laundry company called Blanchisserie A.P.E.E.R, who create employment opportunities for local people with disabilities, since 2017.
  • Our Herne site have used an organization called WeWoLe, who employ handicapped individuals for maintenance and laundry, since 1999.
  • In Castiglione, the site has engaged with the local organization Saint Lucia Social Cooperative since 2018, who provide employment opportunities to disabled and disadvantaged people in the form of cleaning.

Tackling plastic pollution along the River Mersey

The global beauty industry is estimated to produce 120 billion units of packaging every year, with plastic accounting for 70% of these. At Innospec, our Personal Care team are committed to helping reduce plastic waste and water usage to tackle this issue and support a sustainable future. In September 2024, our Personal Care team partnered with the Mersey River Trust for a litter collection event, as part of their Plastic Free Mersey initiative, reducing plastic waste along the River Mersey. Over the course of the day, they collected over 140kg of waste along the banks of the river, near to our site in Ellesmere Port, UK.
