Ten employees from our High Point, North Carolina, US site recently spent their annual Innospec Cares volunteering day supporting Helping Hands High Point, Inc., the area’s largest food pantry. Chosen for its deep community roots and proven commitment to helping those in need, Helping Hands provides emergency assistance and works to improve health and well-being across High Point. Our team helped prepare and organize food bags for local families, ensuring donations were packed with care and compassion. Kim Bartleson, HR Manager and Innospec Cares Coordinator, shared: “It reminds me to be grateful for what I have. Innospec is special because of the compassion and outreach we can provide to our communities. Through our Innospec Cares program, employees are encouraged to dedicate one working day each year to volunteer with a local organisation. In September, our Rio de Janeiro team supported Refettorio Gastromotiva, helping serve 70 meals to people facing social vulnerability. Refettorio’s mission is to fight hunger and waste and to strengthen its community through education and inclusion. Patricia Albuquerque, Marketing Specialist based in Rio De Janeiro, shared: “Stepping away from our corporate routine and immersing ourselves in such a human context made us reflect on our values, our social responsibility, and the importance of being closer to the community. Six of our Pleasanton-based colleagues recently used their annual Innospec Cares volunteering day to show appreciation for the teachers at Medio Creek Elementary school, by cooking and serving them lunch to thank them for their incredible work. “Our volunteering efforts that day were a heartfelt expression of the appreciation we have for the invaluable contributions teachers make to our local community. The genuine joy and gratitude shown by the educators made the experience profoundly rewarding. We are pleased to share the publication of a new peer-reviewed study led by our Toxicology & Risk Assessment team in the Society of Toxicology (SOT)s journal Toxicological Sciences: “Dermal absorption and metabolism of [14C]-C12 alkyl benzoate in Finsolv® TN in human skin in vitro” The paper details an in vitro human skin penetration and metabolism study conducted using Finsolv® TN, an exclusive-use cosmetic ingredient from Innospec Performance Chemicals. This research highlights our continued commitment to advancing robust, science-based alternatives to animal testing, aligned with the EU REACH ‘last resort’ principle.
